Dr Stretch Breast Lift

Breast lift is an option for women who are essentially satisfied with the volume of their breasts but unhappy about sagging and loss of shape.

There are a variety of procedures that can be used to lift sagging breasts (correct/improve breast ptosis). These range from incisions limited to just around the nipples, but can also include a vertical extension beneath the nipple and the central portion of the horizontal crease beneath the breast.

Preparations

There are no specific preparations for this surgery. As with all surgery it is important to avoid any medications or dietary supplements that alter the normal clotting of blood. Aspirin and other non steroidal agents can make patients more likely to bleed abnormally, bruise or develop haematomas (blood clots).

Post op

  • Patients are consistently surprised how comfortably they recover following this  procedure. Very simple adhesive film dressing  are applied at the end of surgery and left in place for a couple of days post-operatively. Patients shower freely within 48hrs of their surgery and simply wear a supporting bra for comfort whilst there is some early swelling.
  • Adhesive paper tape is used to support the suture lines for a few weeks post operatively. Few, if any, external sutures are used so wound care is generally very easy.
  • Most patients can comfortably return to normal activities 3-5 days post operatively. High impact activities including running are best avoided for 4-6 weeks.
